Bought this unit 4 weeks ago & have used it on 2 long road trips & around the confusing streets of North Jersey & Long Island, NY. Note that this is a "bare bones" unit that doesn't have bluetooth or a mp3 player, which I wasn't interested in. If you are looking for a simple wide screen easy to view street/HW navigational unit, this should meet your needs. I was able to get the unit set up & running in about 10 minutes with just a glance at the skimpy instructional manual & was also impressed that it gets it's satellite signals very quickly. For security reasons, I would also purchase the friction dashboard mount rather than using the enclosed window stick mount - it's a lot faster to setup/dismount & you can easily move it to other vehicles/rental cars etc. Would definitely buy this unit again.

I recently moved to a new city, and literally, this Garmin has become a life-saver. I can travel anywhere with the confidence of a seasoned resident! It is fantastic, affordable (compared to many), and it is quite possibly the best purchase I have made in a long while. I love it and highly recommend it. And, given that I love British men, sense of "humour", and music---the British accent directing me about town is, shall I say, very comforting too!

I bought this for my parents. They got a more sofisticated product a while back but were overwhelmed by the technology and took it back. I took a chance that this would be more to their liking. The unit is very easy to operate right out of the box. So far my parents like it and are using it. The big back button was a bit anoying at first as it makes you think that you are just going to go back a space when you mistyped a number or letter; it makes you start over! This is a good product and even with the after Christmas sales, I got a better deal through Amazon.
