There may be many newer games on the market since this game was first released, but the playability, and re-playability are very nice.
The computer AI is very good overall and provides a challenge every game.
I recommend this game to anyone interested in squad based tactics.
Based on the computer's AI decisions and your actions, no scenerio is enacted the exact same way twice.

This game is fantastic for the strategic first person shooter. Its not a run and gun game like counterstrike or call of duty. It takes a bit of smarts to conquer your enemies.
PROS: action packed, alot of great maps, weapons, and vehicles. Gameplay organization such as squads, commander, and orders, is well made, organized, and quick to access when under intense enemy fire for example.
Cons: Yes the multiplayer system is really great, but finding a server that is tactical and focuses on squad and commander cooperation by voice or ingame commands is difficult. If you want a real strategy experence, joining a clan might be helpful.
Other: Besides the "finding the right server" which cant be helped by the creators obviously, it is an awesome fps and deserves consideration for gamers, even though it may be a bit old (2005).

Battlefield 2 with all the add ons is great. Yeah, you have to enter all the different codes to install, but its all worth the outcome of fighting all over the world for free instead of the 30 day cards for $30 bucks for other games. Lots of interaction or going rogue if you want.

I've played a number of these types of games and BF2 is still the best of the online games. Minimal lag and a lot of fun!

If you want to check to see if the game will run on your system, you should Google search the BF2 Demo. Its basically the same gaming engine, so if the demo is having issues on your PC, than chances are, so will the full game.
Of course patches are released in order to address common problems, but its foolish to assume that a patch will fix a hardware problem / conflict.

Download the demo to check if it will run on your system!!!!!!!
