The unit came with all the parts separated for the the fm receiver/cigarette lighter and I had to glue them together.The unit itself was easy to use .I found the internal speaker better quality than the fm receiver and it meant you could still listen to the radio at a low volume while the unit gave directions.Directions are also displayed clearly on the screen.The blue tooth works great and synched each time I got in the car automatically after initial set up.The unit announces names of streets a big plus.The unit will store multiple destination,you just have to set the location and then go to "recently visited" to retrieve.Overall I think the unit is Fabulous and I will by a second one soon for my daughter because of the quality of the blue tooth.It would be great if they built a better quality charger.

It's a great navi except for 2 things:

1. Too little time to react in crucial moments. Example: Driving on a freeway where the NORTH and SOUTH are side-by-side, and you don't know where to go, the navi will tell you about 150 feet that you're supposed to go SOUTH, when you're still on the NORTH Lane. It's a risk because you might HIT the divider between the 2 freeways, not to mention the sudden change of lanes that could result in a serious accident.

2. Recently, the navi keeps on RECALCULATING while we're en route, which confuses us and can be very dangerous.

I think this GPS is as good as they get. But here are some things I would change:
1. when driving, you can't get a list of the upcoming turns, instead you need to hit an up/down arrow to see the next turn, one after another individually... especially annoying if there are plenty of "stay on current road" instructions.
2. The mount breaks easily. I had to have my suction cup piece replaced. (Call Garmin US, they will send a replacement mount with few questions asked after a lengthy hold time).
3. The traffic is subscription
4. The cig lighter plug is very large, and sticks out very far due to traffic antenna. Garmin should have incorporated this into the mount.

This is, however, the best overall GPS I have ever used. Including the built in units. Hands down. Don't hesistate to buy.

I have read tons of articles and reviews about Garmin Nuvi 660, and I have to say I do not regret buying it. It is great, it makes your driving so much easier, it looks up points of interests for you, takes you to the stores and restaurants. I really like the display, it is big, does not reflect light. Web site for this product also helps you personalize it and download the latest maps. All the good opinions you will ever read are true. I did not have any problems stated in opinions that are not very complimentary. Overall, this is a great product! Highly recommeding!

I was holding off on buying a GPS because, like any technology, they continually get better and cheaper. I finally bought the Nuvi because I wanted to transmit mp3s from my Blackberry to the device through a bluetooth connection and listen to them over the units speakers. Unfortunately, I am not yet able to get this function to work.

As far as using the device for it's intended goal, I have just one complaint. The first time I used it to get to Jinnie Springs, FL the device told me to turn into the woods several times. It reminded me of an episode of "The Office" where he turns into the lake. I eventually found the entrance, but the GPS was of no use.

Since then I have taken another couple road trips in it was completely accurate. I'm treating my one mishap as an anomaly.

I like the device and do not regret purchasing it.
