I am a big fan of the Bare Escentuals make-up and this foundation does everything it promises.

This product did not work for me. The power settled onto my face and made my skin look awful. I could have been wearing a mask. It also felt warm on my skin. The customer service was efficient when I canceled my order but didn't seem to care about customer satisfaction.

Being tired of using heavy liquid foundations and with all the hype I ordered the starter kit over a year ago and mastered the technique of buffing. Buffing? Maybe because it contains bismuth oxy as a mineral ingredient? Anyways, It worked well for me for a while until a few months later I began breaking out into random cystic acne - this has never happened to me before. Painful big deep bumps you cannot try to pick or pop which can last up to months on your face and even if left alone will scar. My 30 year old skin is combination but gets dry in the winter and a tad oily in summer months with occasional breakouts. This mineral powder foundation seemed to cause further and more frequent breakouts sometimes daily. It could be an ingredient in this foundation caused this but I will never know for sure. Yes I have made the mistake of sleeping in my makeup and I do not recommend it as it will cause breakouts. The other issue is that I was unable to use cream or gel blushes with this makeup I was forced to stick to powder otherwise it would not blend naturally. Most recently I have noticed after wearing this makeup for a few hours my face appeared blotchy, unneven and my pores appeared larger! The blotchiness I suspect was due to the BE rubbing off easily. I may have looked pretty from afar but when you got up close in my face, what a mess! Sadly, I am searching for new makeup that my skin can handle, maybe a tinted moisturizer. Bummer. Does anyone want my leftovers? LOL.

I like most of you tried Bare Minerals after seeing glowing infomercials. I'm only in my late twenties and don't have many lines, but I feel like the foundation aged me twenty years. My skin was dry and taut and it actually made my pores look larger. I felt like it sapped all the moisture out of my skin. This product might be good for women with oily skin who live in humid climates, but if you live in a dry climate like me, do not buy this product! I've found better products at the drugstore, Neutrogena Healthy Skin Tint is excellent for the price and it will leave your skin looking a whole lot better.

I used this foundation a long while ago. At first I really liked it and the coverage it gave, but I've tried better. But after using for about a month of continuous use it gave me really bad acne. I'm still trying to fix the mess it made on my skin. I now use Everyday Minerals which has been a godsend to my face for makeup.
