Between the raving, couture hype and the "I didn't think it was THAT special" reviews, I didn't know what to expect. After trying this product for the last 2 weeks, I conclude if you have long lashes that need volume, this product works wonders, but it won't create miracles for those with minimal, short lashes.
As a half-asian female with long, but thin, eyelashes, my standard has always been Lancome DEFINICILS High Definition Black Mascara (6.5g) .23 Ounce. While Definicils is nice for a natural look during the workday, I wanted something with more drama. In my score of mascara wearing, I've tried all the Maybellines (including Voluminous and Full 'n' Soft), Max Factors, Revlons (the latest Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara, Blackest Black 601, 0.21-Ounces (Pack of 2) is my favorite if I do buy a drugstore brand) as well as Chanels, YSLs, and so on. Diorshow on my lashes outshines them all. It thickens my lashes with a single sweep and leaves them looking as if I applied 2 or 3 nicely combed coats of any drugstore mascara. It also seems to clump less than the Definicils did too.
All in all, after much make-up research, I am happy with my Diorshow purchase and feel it was worth the price for how lush my lashes look without much maintenance at all. I've found my "Holy Grail" of mascaras, but boy it has a steep price!
I also wear contact lenses and have had no problems with flaking, smudging, or irritation. I'm quite a fan of the larger brush too, since smaller brushes seem to have WAY too much mascara on them when you initially pull the wand out. The larger brush seems to distribute the product better, so I don't have to wipe off excess before application. Holding curl doesn't seem to be a problem either.
If you've got length, but need volume, try Diorshow. If you need length and don't mind tubing mascara, try Imju Fiberwig Fiberwig as a first coat, then a light coat of Diorshow at the outer corners.

I ordered this with high expectations. It wasn't any better than than the mascara I currently use. Didn't really provide a lot of volume. There was nothing special about it.

I've tried a bazillion mascaras and this is definitely one of the better ones but still not perfect. The brush is HUGE which is perfect for thickening but not so much for lengthening. So it really just depends on what you want - other good mascaras thicken a little and lengthen a little, this one thickens a LOT with minimal lengthening. The problem is that if you apply enough to really lengthen your lashes, they start to clump up. What I do is I use YSL faux cils to the ends lengthen, and then diorshow to thicken, the result is dramatic and looks just like false lashes. It's a little too much for class during the day so I just use the YSL then, but for night the combination is the best!! Sephora has a great return policy so you can't loose out, try it!

This is good mascara and does make your lashes fuller and longer. I had a little problem with clumping, but not as bad as some mascaras I have used. Wierd thing is, everytime I use it, my eyes get itchy. I guess I am allergic to it. Which dissapoints me because I do like the way it makes my eyelashes look.
