This is my second of this Diorshow mascara. Luckily I don't have to look anymore! The only time I had racoon eyes was when I took an afternoon nap with my pillow on my eyes. This is the best mascara I have ever had and I tried a lot. It worths every penny, it's still cheaper than buy every week something for 10-15 dollars and then hate it. I have regular eye lashes but with this it's really looks long and full. It makes me buy it for my friends too! Now I only have to try it in blue...

I tried this out at the Dior counter. The salesperson kept repeating that it has latex in it. So don't buy if you are allergic. Ater wearing it for an hour, I had racoon eyes from it running all over.

In search of a new mascara, and a makeover in general I went to sephora for one. I told the makeup artist that I wanted to look like I was wearing fake lashes like all the celebs and he handed me this. So excellent and so worth it. I have good lashes to start but on smaller eyes and this just makes them pop!

I read all the wonderful reviews for this mascara and decided I might as well try it. I've tried everything from Maybelline Lash Discovery to Shisheido Lasting Lift mascara. I still haven't found one that I'm completely satisfied with.
Diorshow definitely adds a ton of volume and length, but it sucked at curling my eyelashes. I'm Asian with thin and straight eyelashes that I usually use a heated eyelash curler to curl. The moment I put Diorshow on my eyelashes, my curl drooped and I was back to having really straight eyelashes. I was honestly very disappointed.
If you're not Asian and already have not-super-thin eyelashes, this is probably a good product for you.
Or, if curl your eyelashes AFTER applying the mascara, then it's not so bad (although it's best to curl before applying mascara; at least, that's how I do it).
So for now, I still try curling beforehand, apply the mascara, watch it droop, get sad, then try curling again and it's...okay.
I'll probably try buying the waterproof version and see if it holds my curl better (supposedly waterproof mascara doesn't weigh down lashes as much?)
So, basically: Overhyped by the reviews, probably not the ideal mascara for Asian eyes.

The way everyone raves about this mascara you'd think it'd be the end all be all- but the fact is, it's just not. For such a hefty price and the Dior label behind it- I really expected great things from this mascara; But as I've discovered, this mascara along with many others, has it's limits.
#1 the brush is EXTREMELY large (long /wide)- I guess the point of that is to provide for lift and to coat every lash- but for anyone that isn't skilled at applying mascara- and even those that are- applying becomes an arduous task (especially for lower lashes).It is the same shape on both sides- the picture looks decieving.
#2 this mascara does not lengthen- I don't think it claims to anyway- but half of the affect of "the look of false lashes" is length and most importantly...
#3 if you try to get the tops of lashes the mascara CLUMPS; it's this last attribute that seriously dissapointed me- which brings me back to the idea that maybe all mascaras have their limits. Too bad too..Along with the clumping it does not seperate the lashes well- and when I ran a eyelash comb through, it made my eyelashes "wire out" -not very flattering.
Now for the pro's of Dior Show: it does thicken (but you have to do it just so to avoid as much as possible things stated above). But most importantly- why I still gave it three stars- is b/c it lasts through the day- your eyelashes will not "fall" by the end of the day/night- which is a huge plus; But don't expect dramatic false looking lashes unless you are already born with naturally curling long lashes and you have the time to be very precise.
6/6/07 update: this is perfect to use if you are in the habit of using two mascara's (a lengthening and a volumizing together) for dramatic look; The best combination I've found is to use is a couple swipes of maybelline "define-a-lash" make sure lashes are seperated,let dry momentarily(don't wait too long)- and then carefully apply the Dior on top (without overdoing obviously, or you'll get spider lashes). This has worked wonders for me with the maybelline achieving length and seperation and the Dior giving volume and hold.
