As with any product, nothing works for everyone. This could not be more true with mascaras. I have tried many of the ones people rave about: Voluminous, Great Lash, Full'N'Soft, Definicils, Volume XXL, etc., and I am sure they work beautifully for many people, just not for me :(
What I found, above and beyond anything else with this mascara, is that it stays on all day long, more than any other mascara I have ever tried. I found my lashes looked nice, full and thick but it truly, really does NOT look much different than, say, Voluminous. They are NOT "fashion-show-model" long and thick lashes. :)
Rather, it's the staying power it has that really sold me on this mascara. I work two jobs, and leave the house at 8am, sometimes returning at 10 pm at night. Generally speaking, if I don't touch my eyes much, it won't rub off. However, like any other it may come off easily if you rub a lot...
I have heard this mascara has latex, and talked to a couple of people who say it irritated their eyes very much because of this... So beware of that.
I don't mind the scent too much (old fashioned, roses!!) plus the (very big) wand gets easy to use with time. Not really a problem...
I am giving it 3 stars for three reasons. First, because it is so incredibly expensive, I got it in Canada for $35 U.S. Two, no one else sold it in my area but Holt Renfrew. And three, because I can get the same look and feel for much less. I just wish they could sell the 'stamina' for less than $35 U.S.!

I honestly wanted to like this mascara, and with the cult following this stuff had I figured it would have to be great. Saddly Doirshow did not live up to the hype.
The brush is HUGE which makes in nearly impossible to isolate the application to the lashes alone. I almost always end up with brush marks stamped on my lower lids. Application is further complicated by the fact that this is an incredably wet mascara, it seems to take forever to dry and I'm such a spaz that I end up with it all over my eyelids.
Aside from the application problems, it is a decent mascara. It plumps up the lashes and adds length. It also stays on very well throughout the day.
I also noticed that this stuff is slightly fragranced, it has a flowery sort of smell. If you have sensitive eyes you may want to steer clear of it for that reason.
Basicaly I was disappoined that I paid $23 for a mascara that is so far from idoit proof and offers nothing more than drug store cheapy stuff (Full and Soft is the best-and cheap- try it).

I got this mascara as a sample from Sephora. I had been wanting to try it, so it was perfect. When I put it on, it did everything it said it would: gave length, volume, curl...essentially, the look of falsies without the hassle. However, after about an hour, I noticed dark smudges under my eyes. This mascara SMUDGES like nothing I have ever seen before. The falsies look was not worth the raccoon eyes after such a short amount of time. Too bad, because otherwise it's perfect.

I have tried most of the major mascara brands in the search for the perfect mascara. I have short pathetic lashes. I bought Diorshow based on the reviews I had read online. It's not great. Lancome definicils is soooooooo much better. Diorshow is a volumizing mascara, it does not add length. If you are looking for a mascara that will add length, use definicils. I tried dior show with a mascara primer and still had average results. Maybelline and Loreal sell better mascaras than DiorShow. Save your money, don't buy it. If you need length, buy Lancome's Definicils
