I used this for awhile like it's supposed to be set up but my son started crawling & cruising at 6 months and quickly learned that there was more places to go & he would scream anytime I got near the gate. So I ended up buying 2 of these and I have them stretched out across the openings to the living room, the fireplace and in front of our DVD's, so that he has the entire living room to explore. He is now 10 months old and he still doesn't mind being confined to the living room for play time. I babysit my friend's 8 month old who is just learning to crawl and he likes the free roam of the living room too. Having 2 babies on the go, I can't live without this gate!

My in-laws purchased the same set for around the fireplace.....It not only serves that purpose--but also great for blocking off rooms and taking outside. He can feel like he's playing in the grass without being confined in a playpen. thanks!

Love It! Sturdy and safe. Perfect for my 13 month old while I'm using the oven or loading up the woodstove. I also bring it outside when I'm doing yardwork. Opening one of the gates just takes a little extra push...not a big deal at all.
I love this product. I also bought the extension kit to make a larger play space for my son and his two 13 month old buddies who come over. The Moms get to sit for a change!
Hint: For the first couple of days, I left the gate open and we played inside with toys, also played chase in and out so he could learn to get used to it. Get a couple of blankets, and it makes an excellent fort for my son and 4 year old daughter.

This Superyard play yard for little ones was easy to put together, easy to shift into shape to fit a corner, and it looks good. The diamond shapes keep it from looking like a little prison. The size and height is good for a crawler to move around and to keep thrown toys inside. He can pull himself up on the sides and it stays stable. I can set it up in a spot where he can see everyone as we move around between the living room dining area and kitchen, then fold it a little and slide it to another spot. I may get the additional two panels to enlarge it, but it is working just fine right now. This a great, safe containment for a crawler.
