If you want a safe place for your baby to hang out and learn to play on her own without constant supervision while you get stuff done around the house, then this is the perfect solution. As other reviews noted, it isn't the nicest piece of "furniture", but it does what it is supposed to do... provide a safe play area. It's easy to set up and clean. If you don't mind a gray-cage like thing sitting in the middle of the room, then it's perfect!

I bought this to keep my puppy in as an alternative to crating when I'm not home. She has more room to play and roam, and use a puppy pad if necessary. It's rather hard to open and manuver on your own, two people are definitely needed.

When I purchased this it was used to keep my daughter (she was 1 at the time) away from the Christmas tree. It help a whole bunch, she kept away just reached for the decorations. We used the gate when outside and it was sturdy and never collapsed. I think it's a great produce for children or to keep small pets inside.

This sturdy and versatile gate has been a lifesaver with our new puppy. We have easily changed the set-up configuration to accomodate our needs of the moment. Highly recommended.

I ordered this from Amazon, but ended up letting UPS take it back after too many failed delivery attempts--I add this to the review to let you know not to use UPS for shipping this item as some UPS delivery guys will go out of their way to not carry this large package to your door ( I was home every time he "attempted" to deliver and found notes on my way to dinner each time. I double-checked the doorbells.)
Instead, I found the exact same product in a local store. I have wrapped it around my HDTV and entertainment center, braced against the wall. It works great and we can now relax while letting our little one crawl and walk in the living room.
I only took one star off because the instructions aren't very helpful.
