I'm not all that pleased. The description is vague when it states that you can do 1/2 acre of home property with both batteries. Instead of saying that it will last 15 minutes per charge, it sounds like it would do a full yard. It doesn't. Other than that it is a pretty good thing. I like the fact that you don't have to keep bumping it for more string or having to re-wind. That was my pet-peev with all the others. This one you just push the button and off you go. Maybe it seems so fast because I don't have to stop to re-wind the string. Hee-hee.

I had the previous model Battery operated Grass Hog and the battery/handle finally died after 5 years. The improvements in this model are wonderful. The old unit's battery was also the whole handle/switch assembly and made the unit a lot heavier than the new one. The new model's batteries are wonderful. After initial charge I did my entire front lawn (30'x60'), my driveway and around the garden bricks with one battery for all but the last 5 minutes. The adjustable length is another feature that makes this unit very comfortable to use for extended periods. I would recommend this unit for anyone that is tired of the mess from gas powered units and the hassle of using a cord.

Reliable, sturdy, but battery life is short in heavy stuff. And really heavy weeds don't go down easily. Overall, a good product, but I need three batteries for my very large yard.

Recently used this to trim some weeds along a irrigation canal bank. Surprisingly tough enough to get rid of the weeds, even though some about 1/4" diameter. Would recommend it to anyone.

Battery operated is the way to go. Battery charge is good and you have two batteries. Line feeds out automatically. I have had mine one year and just now ran out of line. Replacement spools available. The best is having no cord, and no gas to deal with.
