The product pretty much does what I expected. It works well as long as you don,t have too much to trim. It comes with two battery packs so will do an average lot without much trouble

- Nice and lightweight
This is my second B&D cordless trimmer and I do like the convenience of not having a cord to move around. One thing I would recommend though is to purchase an additional charger for the second battery so that both are always fully charged. On the first one I owned I did not do this and one of the batteries was always lower in charge than the other and eventually would not charge enough to complete the yard.

Rating:

- Good product
I do like this trimmer. It is light, easy to manuever, and convenient. The plastic construction doesn't bother me as much as some of the other raters as it contributed to its light weight. Although it feels cheap the plastic hasn't broken yet after a year of use.
The balance is good and I love not having a cord or to fuss with gas.
However there are 3 issues that I think prevent it from being a very good product.
- The string often breaks off or falls back into the unit while I'm using it. It is a hassle to repeatedly have to stop and rethread the line.
- The battery power isn't enough to go around my small yard. Granted I have lots of weeds to whack, but using both batteries, I expect a longer running time.
- The price is a bit high for these issues.
I'm looking forward to the next improved generation.

I am very pleased with the prompt delivery of this item.
As for the "Black & Decker",cordless weedwacker. It is a lot lighter than my previous one,which I am replacing because of an accendent. Not the fault of the product. This model is several pounds lighter, therefor easier to handle. The power is much better but here in lies my problem. The life of the battery is not as long as before and I cannot finish my weedwacking on the two batteries furnished.That being the only problem I incountered I would reccemend this product to anyone interested in gasless and cordless lawn equipment.

I have been wary of battery powered stuff but finally got tired of hassling with a cord and gas powered mowers and trimmers. This has enought power for my needs and the battery lasts long enough to get the job done in my small yard. Balance seems okay, too
