Album Description:
This limited edition collectible U2 Deluxe Edition boxset is handsomely constructed in a sturdy hardbound shell, measuring 5 3/4" (width) x 2 3/4" (spine width) x 5 7/16" (tall) and comes with the newly remastered and expanded 2 CD deluxe editions of the bands first three albums BOY, OCTOBER and WAR, plus room for a fourth (not included). Re-mastered from the original audio tapes, each deluxe includes a disc of b-sides, live tracks and rarities, and the packaging on all three titles has been restored and expanded, with new liner notes for each record, previously unseen photos and full lyrics.

This set also comes with a limited edition, exclusive 18'x24' full color replica poster from the bands beginnings, recreated just for this boxset.

U2’s first three albums--Boy, October, and War--receive star treatment with these re-mastered versions, just as their legendary The Joshua Tree record did last year. Every album includes a second disc of b-side remixes, live versions, and rare performances that die-hard fans of the Irish band will surely appreciate. The box also has room for a fourth album (we assume it’s for The Joshua Tree), but we can’t help to think that they’ll come out with a second Deluxe Edition Box Set next year, with even better albums from the band’s vast musical catalog. --Ernesto Sánchez (People en Español People en Español)

Nice product, it is very exciting to have this u2 compilations, I hope they do the same with the unforgettable fire and specially with Achtung baby!!

I bought this for my wife for her birthday and she really likes the set. Once we opened the package I noticed the bonus CD for the October album was not a bonus CD it was just a duplicate of the original. I was expecting more from this box set but my wife is the one that I have to make sure is satisified with the set.

The hardest part with a collection like this is that, if you're a long-time or ardent fan, you'll already own more than half these tracks. The unique packaging, new sleeve inserts and rare tracks help to make it more attractive. But it was the lure of buying this exclusive from Amazon for less than the cost of buying 2 individual deluxe CD's from my usual store that was the clincher.

IT IS A GREAT DEAL. IT IS NICE TO LISTEN TO THE FIRST STEPS FROM THE GROUP,ALSO HAVING ALL THE CD TOGETHER. THE PACK IS INCREDIBLE, I LOVE IT.
SORRY ,AS I AM NOT A NATIVE MY ENCLISH COULD NOT BE VERY GOOD, BUT THE ALBUM IS VERY ENJOYABLE. SO IF YOU ARE A NUMBER ONE FAN AS I AM...BUY IT

As a fan for over 20 years, tougt that I saw everything. But this masterpiece from the past, U2 made it better. Not recommended for general use, but as U2's fan I will recommend to all who adore U2 as much as I do.
