I downloaded all the software, but decided to use Photoshop CS3 downloading my slides. In Photoshop just click on File, Import, CanoScan 8800F, and it will pull up the 8800F ScanGear software hardware that comes with the unit. However, be warned that many purchases I have made from Amazon direct (not their affiliates) has come with very little inner box padding or packing material. They shipped my scanner bouncing around inside a big box with no padding. It bounced around so much it tore 70% of the packing tape off the back of the outer box.
