I recently heard "The Story" during the Olympic coverage and was really taken by the song. I had since seen the video and heard the entire song, along with several others and found that I liked Brandi Carlile's music.
The album has 13 great songs on it.
I have listened to it over and over again and will very likely purchase more of her music in the future. I feel she has the same quality and style of music as Allison Krause, but slightly different. A real winner in my mind.

Good CD,not great. This CD was kind of a middle of the road/generic no chartbusters in the tracks.

She has been compared to musical geniuses like Patsi Cline, Thom Yorke of Radiohead, Aimee Mann, Roy Orbison, and Jeff Buckley. Yes, she is really that good. The ten truly sublime songs featured on this album (with bonus ... Read More

This CD will embrace and move you. She has a powerful voice and a distinctive quality that I don't know how to describe other than to say it sounds like Seattle rock and Nashville country. Very moving.
