- almost right on target, but a few issues...
It seems that this two disc set is an almost complete collection of Paul's 80s output (some of the later stuff on disc 2 might be from the 90s and is just not as electronic/Hi-nrg sounding). For me, the biggest disappointment is to not have the complete version of "Stranger (In a Strange Land)" with Pamela Stanley. It's one of my favorite songs on here, and for some reason, it sounds as if they may have faded the song in rather than starting it from the beginning of the track. The sound quality also ... - Great vocalist, extremely innovative instrumentation
I would agree with the other reviewers that Paul Parkers first cd may have been a little higher quality than this set, however he's a great vocalist. Altho the first c.d. of this set is not that spectactular, the 2nd. cd in the set is increably innovative, ranking right up there with Georgio's creations. I'm very happy that a publishers went to the trouble to make this cd available.

i am a dance music fan, having been a club patron in the 80's..and 90's ,, and having bought quite a bit of paul parker's music on 12 inch dance singles, this is a fine addition , sometime they keep on re-releasing a lot of the same stuff, it's not re issueed that often, so it's not a hurtin on yr buget, i made contact with paul a few yr's back...and sent him a police tee shirt and hat, and i got his autograpghed
pic of him on a motorcycle....hot..!

OK, this two CD set was NOT what I expected. I love "Right On Target" and "Desire" and have since I was dancing in the clubs back in the 80's. Other then those two songs, this collection is really average. You'll have to be a fan of Paul Parker to really enjoy it. I'm a fan of 80's club music and danced (...)in (...) bars in Florida, Chicago, Milwaukee, New York City, Boston and my home town of Providence, and I really wanted to love this collection, but I'm really disappointed. Paul Parker was taken under the wing of the great producer Patrick Cowley. Most of the tracks were produced by him untill Patricks un-timely death. He continued singing under different names and different producers.His later years, most of his music was not available here in the states. This disc contains mostly org. 12" mixes.
