This book is too technical for the beginner or someone that knows a little about this subject. It is written too much like a text book that should be used along with an in-person class. I would not recommend it.

If you can't be in class, then this is a great teaching substitute until you can! Clear with chapter exercises as well.

This book excited me with its many illustrations, but after reading the preface and the beginning, I was turned off. The author makes a claim that only someone with her background can do what she does. Ridiculous. We all come from different backgrounds so who is say what any one of us can or cannot do?
