Product Description: Like any sensible girl, Cassie tries to avoid vampires. But when the bloodsucking Mafioso she escaped three years ago finds Cassie again with revenge in mind, she's forced to turn to the vampire Senate for protection. The undead senators won't help her for nothing, and Cassie finds herself working with one of their most powerful members, a dangerously seductive master vampire- and the price he demands may be more than Cassie is willing to pay.

This is the first Karen Chance book I've ever read, and I have already ordered the second book in this series. This book had me entranced from the beginning. I can't wait to continue it and see what happens to Cassie next! I think anyone who likes vampires and the paranormal will love this book!

So you will have conversations like
member of group: "you almost got me killed!!!"
cassandra: "suck it up"
--two minutes later--
cassandra: "watch what you're doing! you could have gotten me killed!!"
and the person she is talking to is presumably expected ... Read More
